Hotel Calypso is extraordinarily suitable for connecting a nature-bound holiday with a cultural one. Directly at the wide sandy beach of several kilometres’ length, and only 2 km from the famous Greek temples of Paestum, the family-managed hotel with 29 rooms is waiting for you. At the end of a cul-de-sac, slightly taken back from the beach section in the shady pinewood, it fits in harmonically with the landscape.
The married couple of owners, Gabriella and Roberto, which runs the old-established hotel in second generation, attaches much importance to a harmonic and friendly atmosphere. The guest is meant to settle down. Thus, it seems quite fitting that they have joined the slow-food association.
Consequently the restaurant is their whole pride. The guest is served down-to-earth Mediterranean-Cilentanian cuisine according to antique gastronomic tradition. Here vegetarians get their money’s worth, as well. The ingredients are as natural and seasonal as possible. Caterers are mostly farmers from the region.

The rooms have - like in old southern-Italian houses at the sea - high ceilings and thick white-painted walls. The floors are held in Vietri ceramic.
The rooms of the "Media" type have a balcony (partly facing the sea) and a newly renovated bathroom.
The rooms of the "Superiore" type offer satellite TV, safe, fridge with mini bar ("frigobar") and a balcony (partly facing the sea). The bathroom is newly renovated and equipped with a shower with hydro massage.
Less luxurious rooms of the "Standard" type are available upon request.
