Hotel Hermitage is a comfortably furnished, former country estate (“Casolare“) at the edge of a pine forest above San Marco di Castellabate.
Due to its select location you enjoy the vicinity of the sea as well as the tranquillity of the mountains. The various hotel terraces provide beautiful panoramic views of the sea and the famous medieval town of Castellabate on a mountaintop.
The extravagantly renovated Casolare, which original stone architecture was preserved, today houses 34 guest rooms (28 double and 6 single rooms) and two separate junior suites.
All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, radio, air conditioning, safe, mini bar, hair dryer and bathroom with shower/WC/bidet. Some of the rooms have a French balcony or a terrace towards the sea.
Special “family rooms”, in which up to two additional beds are possible, offer a bath tub as well as a shower. The two junior suites, which are located in a separate building a bit set back above the main structure, both have their own terraces.
The hotel cuisine serves delicious typical Cilentanian dishes, where especially seafood plays a big role. Thus, there usually is a seafood plate among the first and second course (choice of three dishes each) of lunch and dinner. In the morning a plentiful breakfast buffet waits for you.
The ample property with abundant vegetation is laid out like a park. Apart from the large “swimming“ pool you find a “baby“ pool. Additionally, at an extra cost, there are two tennis courts available, which may also be used for a soccer match.
The all-year, complimentary mini bus service takes the guests to San Marco’s centro storico and to the private hotel beach at the sandy beach of Pozillo, 1 km from the hotel.
The hotel has information ready for excursions and hiking tours and will gladly help you with the planning. Directly from the hotel you may e.g. make a wonderful hiking tour to the Siren’s cape of Punta Licosa.

The prices for guest rooms are given in Euro and are valid per day for one person in a double bedroom (DR) with bed & breakfast (B&B) or half board (HB: dinner).
Single rooms without extra charge if available.
Double room as single room: 70% additional charge.
Junior suite: € 20.- extra charge per person per day.
Additional bed: 10% discount.
Children from 2-6 years, in the same room with their parents, receive a 50% discount. Children under 2 years, in the same room with their parents, will only be charged the food. Cost for children’s cot: € 6.- per day.

From 1 June to 30 September, a sun umbrella and deck chair can be rented at the private hotel beach at Santa Maria di Castellabate for € 10.- per person per day.
