A little bit above the picturesque little town of Maratea in the Campo district lies at the edge of an impressive mountain region the property of the Balsamo family from Naples.
Campo is a quiet, scattered out settlement with former farm houses and large estates.
Two lovingly furnished, separate apartments were built in old walls next to the Balsamo family's summer house.
The apartments were fitted out with many colourful details and resemble actual jewel boxes!
The antique furniture has tastefully been renovated and gives an exclusive ambience to the holiday apartments.
The pleasant Signora is an interior designer and has - apart from her sense for individual furniture - joy at a luxuriant garden, which is a true feast for the eyes: It offers not only many flowers and trees but a lawn as well - a rare sight in southern Italy.
You will literally feel your holiday in this place as "balm (it.: balsamo) for your soul and senses".
Each apartment has a separate entrance, a kitchen/living room with sofa and dining table, two bedrooms, a bathroom (WC / shower) and a terrace.
The second bedroom of the large apartment (type A) provides for an additional bathroom (WC / shower) and lies a little more separate (access from the roofed terrace). 2 to 4 people may sleep in this room: next to the double bed there is a foldaway bed. The terrace of the large apartment is roofed.
The terrace of the small apartment (type B) is shaded by a canvas. This apartment is equipped with a washing machine.
Both apartments are connected to the central heating, except for the separate bedroom of the large apartment (stove).
You may park your car in front of the property.
Grocery stores are in Maratea (approx. 2 km).
The nearest beach - in the Fiumicello district - is approx. 7 km (approx. 10 minutes by car) from the property. The owners recommend hiking tours directly from the house into the mountainous hinterland of Maratea. Additionally they rent a small motorboat for 50.- Euros per day (no driving license necessary; price subject to change).

A deposit of 100 Euro is due upon arrival.
